A New Collection in sizes 14-24 by Jean Airoldi

At the beginning of my career, everyone said that I only dressed tall, thin, model-like women, but deep down, my dream was to dress Ginette Reno. I’ve always wanted to show how fashion can be accessible to all women, regardless of their size or silhouette.

These days, women are embracing their curves – and I love that!

I wanted to create a line that resembled my other collections instead of specifically creating new pieces for plus sizes. The only way to differentiate both collections is by checking the tags, which are black instead of white. We paid special attention to the fabric, making sure to cut flattering materials that don’t create unnecessary bulk.

I wanted to create a young, modern and trendy collection. Inspired by 80’s fashion, the varsity jacket and the front-tied shirts give the line a youthful energy. Floral motifs paired with light, summery colours add a beautiful contrast to black and fit perfectly with other pieces from the collection. Pink, bright red and coral come together with prints and denim to make up this mix-and-match collection.

We’re playing around with athletic wear – some pieces feature coloured bands on collars or on the sides of jeans and pants. The classic nautical style is here too, with a black and white striped sweater. Many pieces are asymetrical and fit the body perfectly, without ever being to tight. The line is completed with a perfect black wrap dress, which complements most silhouettes.

My favourite piece

It’s hard to pick just one, but I must admit that I have a soft spot for the floral shirt. It gives the line a modern twist and announces the spring days to come!
