Sizzling hot cocoa

hot chocolatePlaying outside in the snow, whether at the park or in the backyard, is a winter classic that the whole family enjoys.

Once everybody is bundled up, it’s time to get out and enjoy the fresh, crisp winter air!

Out of ideas?

Let your imagination wander to find your next activity – a snowball fight, a snowman pageant, making snow angels, building a fort, etc.

As soon as you get back inside, it’s hot chocolate time!

Our favourite is a festive recipe found on metro.ca that you’ll want to make time and time again this winter.

Follow these steps :

1. On the stovetop, heat up a litre of milk with a cinnamon stick and a vanilla bud. Don’t let it boil!

2. Then, add 200 grams of chopped dark chocolate (65% cocoa) and stir frequently until it melts.

3. And now - here comes the hardest part - you have to wait 25 minutes for the flavours to combine.

4. Once the wait is over, pour through a sieve and enjoy. If you like your cocoa extra hot, heat it up!

Enjoy this dose of chocolatey comfort!
